RYA First Aid at Sea course

The First Aid at Sea course equips you with essential skills like CPR, treating shock and hypothermia, and more. It’s more than just basic first aid—it prepares you to handle medical emergencies on the water.

Knowledge of first aid at sea is crucial. In an emergency, prompt action can save lives. This course gives you essential first aid skills for small craft users and yacht skippers within 60 nautical miles of a safe haven.

The training takes place indoors and ends with an RYA First Aid certificate.

The certificate, approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), is valid for 3 years.
